Historical TV maps are distinguished by their visual presentation, but are rarely seen on air. The reason is the time of compilation. Maps on military and historical themes complement the graphics for individual projects and films. In this case, there is time to develop an artistic style, work on a system of icons, and animation. Over the past 2–3 years, the UMG cartography department has regularly participated in similar projects. The time span is "from Rus' to Russia," and the scale of the TV maps ranges from a continent to a single battle plan. Each TV map is the result of the painstaking collaboration of an editor, concept artist, motion designer, and cartographer.
